We make a small number of things, and we make them to be worn constantly.
COAST & CORD began with a simple observation: the clothes people actually reach for on vacation — the soft shirt, the easy trouser, the knit that works on the dock and at dinner — are rarely the ones that look best. We wanted both. Natural materials, relaxed tailoring, and the kind of restraint that comes from a coast: nothing shouts, everything lasts.
Coast & Cord is the studio and storefront of a small, independent team of designers and makers. We design a tight wardrobe of coastal menswear — linen shirts, knit polos, tailored trousers, shorts and lightweight knitwear — for men who dress for long summers: travel days, dockside evenings and city heat. Every piece is built around natural fibers and relaxed tailoring, priced honestly, and shipped directly from the studio to your door. If a garment doesn't earn its place in a packed weekender bag, it doesn't make the collection.
Craft / Material
Fabric first, always
Every piece starts with the cloth. We look for fibers that breathe in warm air, soften with every wash, and age the way a good summer should — gradually and gracefully. Linens that crease like they've earned it, cottons that keep their shape, knits light enough for a coastal evening.
